One appointment to prep a tooth and get a temporary crown, send impressions to a lab, and WAIT for the permanent crown to come back. A second appointment is needed to remove the temporary and cement the permanent crown in place. Now, there is a new possibility with the latest technology in restorative dentistry! Dr Jackson is certified in the CEREC system, which is computerized crown design and creation. We can prep your tooth, process the impressions by computer, and CEREC will mill your crown in house! You can take home your new tooth same day. Another advantage of CEREC crowns is that they are all porcelain, giving them a more natural look than the metal based crowns.
