History
of Tumescent Liposuction
In
1986, Dr. Jeff Klein, a California dermatologist, presented his
remarkable breakthrough in liposuction. He had developed a new technique
in fat removal that was totally safe and easy for his patients.
His new TUMESCENT LIPOSUCTION eliminated the need for general anesthesia
or intravenous sedation.
In
1993, Dr. Klein and Dr. Pat Lillis, a dermatologic pioneer in Loveland,
Colorado, taught the first TUMESCENT LIPOSUCTION course. Dr. Phillip
Aron Hooker, a MAYO CLINIC AND HARVARD trained dermatologist, was
a member of this aggressive group of U.S. physicians first formally
trained by the inventors themselves.
