General Price List These prices are effective October 14, 2002, but are subject to change without notice. The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean that you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected.
MINIMUM SERVICES OF THE FUNERAL DIRECTOR AND STAFF This fee for our basic services will be added to the total cost of funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, and forwarding or receiving remains.) This fee includes: Personnel available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to respond to initial call; arrangement conference; coordinating service plans with cemetery, crematory, and/or other parties involved in the final disposition of the deceased; clerical assistance in the completion of various forms and permits associated with a funeral; also covers overhead, including facility maintenance, equipment and inventory costs, insurance and administrative expenses, and governments compliance.	$1,595.00
PREPARATION OF THE BODY Except in certain cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial. Embalming	$525.00

USE OF FACILITIES AND STAFF Use of facilities and staff for viewing or visitation This charge is of up to two days use of facilities or any portion thereof. Additional time will be at the rate of $75.00 per day or any portion thereof. Our services include the set up of visitation area, placement of the encased remains, display of floral arrangements, supervision of and attendance during the visitation. Viewing or visitation in facility other than our funeral home This charge includes necessary local transportation of remains to other facility, use of staff to deliver and remove Remains, and necessary equipment. Staff services for funeral/memorial service in facility other than our funeral home Our services include coordinating the funeral arrangement, supervision of the funeral, and staff to attend the ceremony. Use of facilities and staff for funeral/memorial service in our funeral home Our services include coordinating the service arrangements, supervision of service, and staff to attend the service. Staff services for graveside service Our services include accompaniment of remains to cemetery, supervision of graveside service, and staff to attend the graveside service. Other use of facilities or equipment Shelter of remains only. This charge is for two days shelter or any portion thereof. TRANSPORTATION All charges for automotive equipment used in connection with a funeral or memorial service are based on use within a 25 mile radius of the funeral home. The charge for additional miles is $1.50 per mile per vehicle. FORWARDING THE REMAINS TO ANOTHER FUNERAL HOME This charge includes the minimum service of staff, removal of remains, necessary authorizations, embalming, use of preparation room, shipping container and transportation to airport or other place of shipment within a 70 mile radius, excluding shipping charges. This charge does not include visitation/viewing or funeral ceremonies.	$2,095.00
RECEIVING THE REMAINS FROM ANOTHER FUNERAL HOME This charge includes minimum service of staff, transportation from airport or other shipping destination and transportation of remains to cemetery or crematory. This charge does not include visitation rites and ceremonies.	$1,495.00
DIRECT CREMATION If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials, with or without an outside covering. The containers we provide are alternative containers (heavy cardboard) and a cremation casket. Our charges for direct cremation (without ceremony) include minimum services of staff, removal of remains, bathing and disinfection of remains, transportation to crematory and the cremation fee.	$1,645.00 to $17,645.00

TRADITIONAL FUNERAL SERVICE PLAN This service plan includes all the service selections normally selected for a traditional funeral service in our area: Preparation of the Body (embalming, dressing, casketing, and cosmetizing), Use of Facilities and Staff for Viewing/Visitation, Funeral Service (at the Funeral Home, at you Place of Worship, or Place of Interment), Transfer of Deceased from Place of Death to the Funeral Home, Hearse from Place of Service to Place of Interment, Nine Passenger Family Car, Flower Van, Two Canopies and Grave Equipment at Cemetery, 100 Memorial Folders, 100 Regular Acknowledgement Cards, Temporary Grave Marker, Complete Home Equipment and Pallbearer Boutonnieres.	$1900.00

Methods of Payment Norton Funeral Home of Cheraw accepts the following methods of payment. Payment in full is due 15 days following the date of service. If payment in full is made by the third day following date of service, we will give a 2% savings off of our goods and services, not including cash advance items.
