Dr.
Daniel Wissinger
Medical Director
Dr. Wissinger has been in the private practice of ophthalmology since
1975. He specializes in refractive and no-stitch cataract surgery.
Dr. Wissinger received his undergraduate education at Pacific Union
University and his medical degree from Loma Linda University School
of Medicine in 1970. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at
the White Memorial Medical Center in 1974. Dr. Wissinger began his career
in cataract surgery in 1972 and began performing refractive surgery
in 1975, correcting the astigmatism that sometimes resulted from cataract
surgery. He became a board certified ophthalmologist in 1976. In 1984,
he continued his education at the distinguished King Khaled Eye Specialist
Hospital in Saudi Arabia where he received Fellowship Training in corneal
surgery. Following his fellowship, he served on the senior teaching
staff of King Khaled for a number of years. He also served as Clinical
Professor for Southern College of Optometry from 1990 to 1996.
Dr. Joseph Rouw
Dr. Joseph Rouw is a graduate of the Southern College of Optometry and completed a dynamic Ocular Disease Residency with the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. The ocular disease residency was weighted towards the common maladies of the eye such as the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, medical retina (eg. diabetic retinopathy), and ocular emergencies. Special emphasis was placed on corneal diseases and the important field of refractive surgery.
Dr. Rouw is a member of the West Tennesse Optometric Society, the Tennessee Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Rouw is committed to providing advanced eye care to the community in a caring and compassionate manner.
